A Modern Miami Beach Wedding

A Modern Miami Beach Wedding

Tricia + Dan are both creatives in Brooklyn, and upon a birthday celebration in Miami, the two of them thought, " Hey, this is a super fun place and pretty easy for people to fly to... Let's have our wedding here!" With The Raleigh serving as the main stage, T+D added their own personal touches with the help of Ashley Jackson Events. A modern party + celebration served as the main idea, with bright + funky pops of color, a sprinkling of pineapples, and tons + tons of tropical-inspired greenery!

Tricia shares From the beginning, we made sure that everything we did for the wedding truly reflected who we were, ignoring the wedding "rules" that many people feel they need to stick to. We're completely on board with that! Now let's see how the whole day came together with the photos by Henry + Mac!

Using a mix of plants native to Miami and a sprinkling of ethereal florals, Ines Neftali crafted this stunning bouquet.

Her DRESS!! Flowy layered sleeves, elegant lines, and an utterly modern feel... This masterpiece is by Rosie Assoulin.

Dan looked dapper as ever in his suit... We're especially fond of the bright blue hue!

With the extra touches like bright yellow flowers, custom pineapple pins, and music selection, things felt very us, and we were happy. We wanted our wedding to be more of a party celebrating our family, friends, and of course our for-ever-ever love, so that meant keeping the "I Do's" super short and going straight into celebration/party mode.

The décor was bright + poppy, which reflected the downtown Miami beach culture. The main design element? Pineapples + sunglasses! The groom even custom designed and printed pins for guests to wear that doubled as their place cards.

The ceremony featured a living wall with all Miami local plants - how awesome is that?!

When it was time for me to put the ring on Dan's finger, he stuck out the wrong hand, I put the ring on it, then we realized a second later our mess up, nervously laughing, but just went with it anyway. We found out after the ceremony, that Dan's mom had done the exact same thing with Dan's dad, which made the "accidental hand ringing" moment pretty magical.

And oh yeah, our friends brought a "money gun" to the wedding. They printed our faces onto the money, so when they made it rain during the later part of the night, our faces were literally all over the venue.

Really do what YOU want to do, everyone will have opinions, but at the end of the day, this is your wedding and you should be happy with every decision you make. Also the money we spent on a planner was worth every single penny, even though I work in the events and experiences field, dealing with all of the details of my wedding day was not something I could've dealt with.

Not a fan of cake? No problem! We adore this magical macaron display by Earth + Sugar!

How dreamy is that? Congratulations, Tricia + Dan!!
