Nicole and Jirkas Pestana Palace Wedding in Lisbon takes us away from the beachside backdrop that usually features in our Portuguese destination weddings and instead showcases what a vibrant and colourful city wedding the countries capital can put on! Avid travellers, they didn't hesitate booking their European wedding after getting engaged but were very keen to keep it simple and stress free. "As we love to travel, we knew from the beginning we wanted a destination wedding, and as Lisbon is our favourite city in Europe, it made the decision of where to get married easy! All the day's events took place at the Pestana Palace Hotel, a truly beautiful reminder of old world Portuguese charm. We exchanged vows in the chapel, were serenaded by a Portuguese guitarist, kicked off the celebration with cocktails in the lake house nestled within the botanical garden and enjoyed a four-course lunch in the palace.

Our wedding was a small affair with only 12 guests, with one traveling over 9,000 km to attend. With only immediate family and close friends, the day's festivities were intimate and laid-back.

It was a lovely, sunny wedding day made memorable by our loved ones and friends in attendance and the beauty of the venue!
