Relaxed Romantic & Fun White Farm Wedding - Whimsical Wonderland...

Another beautiful fresh white wedding for you lovelies today.

WWW readers Kristeen and Daniel tied the knot on the 14th June 2014 hosting a marquee reception at North Hill Farm in Hertfordshire. They had a vision of a rustic, romantic, relaxed and fun celebration. Sounds perfect right?

They kept the details and décor simple with sweet letter lights, white florals and my favourite touch, the door table plan. Gorgeous!

Thanks so much to Bohemian Weddings for sharing these beautiful photographs with us.

THE PROPOSAL | We had been together for nine years and although we'd discussed getting married, the proposal absolutely took me by surprise. We went out for dinner on a Friday night to our favourite restaurant and everything seemed normal. I thought I would guess when Daniel was going to propose as he would be nervous but I didn't suspect a thing; he was so cool and calm. Whilst we were at dinner, his brother was at our flat decorating it with candles and rose petals ready for the big moment. When we got home our song was playing and Daniel got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. I was in total shock and it took a while to process what was going on. Eventually I said yes and everything started to sink it. It was a really wonderful moment.

THE VISION | We had a clear idea of what we wanted for our wedding day from the outset; a romantic, relaxed, rustic and fun day to celebrate with family and friends. Aside from the wedding ceremony, we didn't want anything too formal so the laid-back and relaxed day matched our personalities and relationship.

THE PLANING PROCESS | I spent hours and hours on Pinterest and looking at wedding blogs to collect ideas. We decided to go with a white and light green colour scheme and tried to make as many things ourselves as we could. We made the invitations and stationery and used a stamp we ordered from Etsy throughout as our logo; a heart with our initials and the date of the wedding underneath.

THE VENUE | We were married in our local church which was really special. I always wanted my wedding reception in a marquee so from the start we were looking for venues that would accommodate a marquee in their grounds. I found North Hill Farm by chance a few years before the proposal and it matched what I would want for my wedding perfectly; a field where we could do what we wanted and great views overlooking rolling hills. Once we were engaged, we saw a couple of other venues but my heart was always with North Hill Farm and on the day, the venue was amazing. We even spent our first night as Mr and Mrs in a treehouse which was quite a novelty and our family stayed in the B&B attached to the farm.

The marquee was from Tops Marquees and looked amazing. We can't thank them enough for all the hard work and effort they put in to making the marquee look so beautiful, from the gorgeous chandeliers to the lit up dance floor. Steve and Debbie were great in pulling the whole day together, getting the suppliers in the right places and making sure everything was set out how we imagined, even if I was a bit of a control freak. The marquee was stunning and matched everything I dreamt of!

As the reception was in a marquee, we were flexible with who we could use for caterers and drinks. We used Kingfisher Event Caterers and the food and service were excellent. Dan was really helpful when we were putting the menu together and his staff were professional and friendly throughout the day. It was really reassuring to know that Dan and his colleagues were keeping everything under control. We went to France to buy the wine and champagne and made the most of supermarket offers for beer. In hindsight we bought far too much as we're still drinking wedding wine and beer eight months on but it was important to us that everyone have a good time and enjoy the meal and evening reception without risking the bar running dry.

THE DRESS & ACCESSORIES | I knew the style of dress I was looking for and found the perfect dress on my first shopping trip at Windsor and Eton Brides. It was a lovely lace Pronovias dress with beautiful detailing on the waist, just as I wanted. I tried on other dresses but they didn't compare. I felt comfortable and confident throughout the day; it really was my perfect dress. The ladies at Windsor and Eton Brides were so helpful and attentive throughout the whole process and I would recommend anyone to go there for their wedding dress.

GROOM'S ATTIRE | Daniel wanted a suit that would match the relaxed and informal atmosphere of the day. We both liked the idea of blue suits which looked smart enough for a groom on his wedding day but laid-back enough to match the relaxed atmosphere of the day. We found a great three piece suit from Hugh Harris in Woking which Daniel, the Dads, Best Man and Ushers looked great in, along with brown shoes from Marks and Spencer. Once the wedding mass and photos were over, Daniel took off his jacket but even in the waistcoat he still looked really smart.

BEAUTIFUL BRIDESMAIDS | Daniel's sister was my bridesmaid and looked great in a Tiffany Rose light green dress which matched the colour scheme really well. Keriann was eight months pregnant on our wedding day and both her and bump looked amazing. It was lovely for baby Mollie to have played a special part in our day and we look forward to showing her photos when she's older!

YOUR PHOTOGRAPHER | I'm always with my camera in hand at weddings taking loads of photos so I didn't want to miss a moment of our own wedding and we wanted the photos to be really special. Our wedding photographers were Michael and Andrea from Bohemian Weddings. We loved their style and the photos they had taken of other weddings and we are so happy with the photos of our wedding day. The photos are beautiful and captured some wonderful natural moments and we felt so comfortable with Michael and Andrea throughout the whole day. We didn't want our photos to be too staged so they were working around us which fitted in with their natural style and we couldn't be happier with the photos.

THE DETAILS & DÉCOR | We hung green wicker hearts around the marquee to match the green colour scheme and used tea lights and candles for a rustic touch. Although I hoped to make all the decorations ourselves, Daniel found some great pieces that we hired in and I have to admit that they looked wonderful on the day. We had a white postbox which looked just like a Royal Mail postbox with our personalised information on the front which was a lovely touch. On the dance floor we had large illuminated letters with our initials which alongside the lit up dance floor, looked great in the evening.

THE HONEYMOON | Two weeks in the Maldives. The holiday of a lifetime and we had the most amazing time.

MEMORABLE MOMENTS | So much of the planning process was around the wedding reception and the wedding mass is a relatively small part of the day but it was our most memorable moment. Actually getting married after all those years was so special. I'm usually really emotional and expected there to be lots of tears but I was far too excited and happy and couldn't wipe the grin off my face during the whole day. We also loved the time after the speeches and the formalities of the day when we could sit down with family and friends, take it all in and enjoy the moment and get ready to party!

ADVICE FOR OTHER COUPLES | Don't get hung up on the little things and do what feels right for you both. I'm a control freak and spent hours (or days!) planning and making sure the little things were just right. On the day itself I was so swept up in the magic of getting married and having everyone we loved in one place that I didn't even notice the little things I'd spent hours planning.
