Rustic Meets Modern; Desert Garden Wedding Inspiration

We've got some seriously gorgeous wedding inspiration to share with you guys today.

You might remember that a few weeks back, we shared a glamorous desert wedding at El Chorro Lodge in Arizona, by Amy & Jordan Photography?

Well today, those talented photographers and that epic venue are back, for a styled shoot that's guaranteed to leave you utterly inspired.

Working with a whole gang of incredible Arizona wedding vendors, this inspiration shoot brings together that iconic Southwest backdrop, glamorous modern decor, pretty floral styling and elegant attire, for a timeless look that's still really fresh and creative.

A palette of sweet coral and rich green runs throughout for a look that's soft, yet clean, and plays up to the hazy desert garden backdrop.

Laden with innovative ideas, (we love the ceremony backdrop, and the idea of a 'Gentleman's Lounge' for a masculine touch), everything from the floral design (amaryllis and orchids are such a contemporary combination) to the pretty paper goods (kraft paper and cut-outs is the perfect old/new blend) is a fusion of luxury and laid back.

Ever wondered how to give a rustic setting a modern feel? This garden wedding shows just how it's done...

Inspired by the lush desert landscape that El Chorro offers, we were inspired to give this Arizona landmark a modern twist. The rich green tones seen throughout the property drove the enchanted feeling of this design, and was enhanced with clean modern lines, bright whites, soft corals and was finished with whimsical watercolor accents. As it's said, the invitation sets the tone of every event, and this design was no different. Wanting the overall color palette to shine through, Heidi with Idieh Design created a custom suite that featured die cut features, rich moss and soft watercolors housed in a modern clear box. Each hand watercolored escort card was placed beneath an enchanted display of dripping leaves and coral rose heads from a natural wooden structure.

The silver Dupionique linen from La Tavola Linen added just a hint of modern to this display.

To give just a touch of masculinity, we also featured a "Grooms Lounge" on the patio that was finished with a cowhide rug, silver gilded antlers, a bourbon and cordial bar and completed with a cigar bar. The perfect finishing touch to any wedding! The ceremony took the idea of mixed seating to another level with the juxtaposition of rich wood benches and mid-century modern Eames plastic molded chairs. The ceremony aisle was enhanced with sharp silver bowls filled with lush white and coral floral with dripping succulents finished by wood accents. The altar featured a custom made wooden backdrop with dripping modern garland, and floral accents in the base that created a sprouted like garden scene. To add just a hint of glamour to this enchanted display, we enhanced El Chorro's Ballroom, Casa Paloma with three alternating crystal chandeliers hung above the head table. The table also featured rich Kelly Green napkins from La Tavola Linen with Silver Rimmed Chargers and Modern Flatware and Glassware from Classic Party Rentals. Each guests place setting was personalized with a Kraft colored menu and watercolored place card created by Idieh Design. The head table was finished with a clean and modern peach and white floral arrangement with lots of candlelight. The coordinating guest table included the soft Brilliant Silver linen from La Tavola, and was enhanced with a lush and colorful floral arrangement placed in a wooden liveage vase. To finish the overall reception design, we featured a classic and modern lounge display by Inspired Environments with suspended flowering trees anchoring each side of the Restoration Hardware furniture.

Pretty, right? I really like how the two styles blend so beautifully. Even that fab wedding dress has a really modern style but with a rustic, crochet-look pattern. I think the florals and stationery are my favourite though - how about you?

Thanks so much to Amy & Jordan Photography, and the rest of these amazing Arizona vendors for sharing their modern garden wedding inspiration with us.
