Fourth of July might have been a couple of weeks ago, but Americana is the kind of wedding theme we can't get enough of, all year 'round.

Created by the wonderful TréCreative Film and Photo this sweet shoot brings together some chic sparkle and stripes decor, some classic American treats (cupcakes and Red Vines anyone?) and a nod across the pond with one very cute French guest.

Thinking of all the fun routes a couple could go with this patriotic wedding theme, we had a blast putting this styled shoot together. We knew we wanted bold red, white and blue colors. I've also been on a glitter craze lately, I love its brightness and the shine it can add to the simplest of things. From the flowers, to the vintage Honda moped, we just fell in love with how everything flowed together to create the perfect Fourth of July-inspired session. We wanted to keep this shoot local, so we chose Bidwell Park, a iconic local spot that runs through the middle of our small college town Chico, CA. On the Fourth of July, the park is full of families having cookouts and kids playing swimming in the creek. One of my favorite parts of the summer is the delicious and refreshing summer fruit salads. We wanted to make sure to incorporate all these delicious fruits in the deserts and naked style cake. And how can we not mention Phyllis? The amazing French Bulldog who graced us with her presence for this shoot.

I love how the Americana theme looks so fresh, yet distinctly retro at the same time.
