Melody and Paul first met in high school but it wasn't until six years after their graduation that the pair actually reconnected and started dating. "Having that background of friendship together for more than 10 years really solidified our relationship," Melody says. For their big day, the couple opted for a vintage-meets-rustic romance-themed wedding.

I don't even know where to begin with this woodland inspired shoot from A Splendid Occasion and a whole host of talented Chicago creatives. It's deliciously different, with a rich colour palette of burgundy, coral, peach and gold, a unique, wonderfully woodsy, antler motif, enough gold dipped animals to make a gilded menagerie, and the sweet aroma of freshly baked pies wafting throughout the historic mansion setting.
