The first pool day of the season can bring beautiful, sun-soaked bliss. It can also create a problem for skin that has been hibernating under layers of sweaters, scarves and hats for the past four months. Even though we know to apply and reapply sunscreen every few hours, sometimes that pesky sunburn still gets the best of us. Have you ever had a bad case and asked yourself how to hide a sunburn on your face?

Step #1: Care for the Skin

Then Walsh recommends "applying a green or yellow tinted moisturizer (both counteract redness) such as Murad Redness Therapy Correcting Moisturizer SPF 15, while the skin is still dewy from the mist to lock in much needed moisture."

Sunburned skin is dehydrated skin so make sure you are giving it the nourishment it needs with proper moisturization and hydration. That includes drinking a lot of water!

Step #2: Cover the Red

The second step in learning how to hide a sunburn on your face is using proper coverage. Once your skin is adequately quenched, "use a brush, blend a creamy highly-pigmented foundation over the entire face."
