Whiskey Tasting Bachelorette Party Inspiration

For all of you ladies currently in charge of planning a killer bachelorette bash, be sure to take note of today's amazing whiskey tasting soiree dreamt up by Milou + Olin Photography, Scarlett & Grace and KMK Design (with event design assistance from Milklegs). This perfectly-designed festive girls' night is anything but traditional, with a playful balance between masculine + feminine. There are lots of fun steal-worthy design ideas, like a cool color palette of amber, chocolate, and dusty french blue, a wide variety of textures ranging from rustic barn wood to sparkly linens, and the most beautiful dripping semi-naked cakes by Paper Heart Patisserie. (Serious sigh!!!)

The team tells us, We wanted to host a party that was just as beautiful as these wonderful whiskies taste, and so "smokey" and "rich" were words that inspired this event when first dreaming it up. We geared this party towards all women in different stages of appreciation in whiskey, from amateurs to aficionados! Tasting whiskey with girlfriends is safe place to explore the craft of whiskey in all its glory!

Specially made tasting cards were essential for our tasting! That way we could rank each whiskey and take notes on each of the whiskies we tasted. This part was so essential to our whiskey tasting and we love what Moochie Creative designed!

(Floral lovers, take note of those fall-hued blooms by Scarlett & Grace! Such a perfect palette for this event.)

New to whiskey? We love that the team is sharing some tips for throwing a ladies whiskey party with us!

Always remember to have water handy, to cleanse your palette, or to put a little into your whiskey. Still water is generally preferred. Also when choosing to taste whiskies, don't choose more than 4 or 5 to taste at one time. Otherwise the options can get too overwhelming. For fun, if you are a real whiskey aficionado try doing a blind taste test with a couple whiskies and show your friends how good you are! For those party goers that want a lovely handcrafted cocktail after the whiskey tasting, we created a tasty handcrafted cocktail specifically for our event called the Whiskey Pucker. It calls for 1 shot of whiskey, 1/4 cup lemonade, 1/4 cup of club soda, 1 tsp. of honey simple syrup, and a slice of lemon or mint for garnish.

BTW, the lovely + talented ladies seen in today's feature are Haley Titus, Vanessa Labi, Jaclyn Andrade + Meaghan Gonzales, who were beautified by hamu artist, Kayci Stoots Subia.

There were not only a variety of incredible-looking macaron-topped full size cakes, but Paper Heart Patisserie whipped up the most adorable cake flight, too! The flight consisted of several different delicious flavors like chocolate bourbon pecan, sea salt whiskey, Irish cream and dark chocolate, spiced rye and vanilla bean, honey caramel and scotch, and brown sugar bourbon latte. Each cake had a suggested whiskey pairing to enhance the experience even more!

It was important for us to keep the fun going even after the whiskey tasting too, so we had a dessert bar and luxury cigar rolling station! We got all the cigar equipment from the amazing Casillas Cigar Company. As a fun party favor, we have take away bottles so guests funnel a little of their favorite whiskey from the tasting to take home and have for later!

So, so clever + cute! A huge thanks to the amazing team below for sharing this project with us today!
