If you've been reading GWS for a while now, you know that we believe in celebrating all the milestones surrounding a wedding + marriage, not just the big day! We love engagement parties, bridal showers, bachelorette bashes and anniversaries, and today we're sharing a sweet anniversary session, designed + photographed by the talented SammieB, that we think you are going to love!

Kaitlin + Justin planned a trip from Virginia to California to celebrate their wedding anniversary, and the boho photo session backdrop Sammie styled for them was a perfect fit for their personalities! The vintage VW bus, unkempt florals and teal + burgundy palette popped against the scenic Malibu canyon backdrop. Sammie shares, I knew I had to find a gorgeous setting and show them a part of southern California that may have gone unseen otherwise. Peter Strauss Ranch is a gorgeous area tucked away in the canyons of Malibu and it was the perfect scene for our shoot.

We love Kaitlin + Justin's stylish shoot looks! She wore a lace maxi dress from H&M, topped with a belt from Anthropologie and he wore dapper pieces picked up from J.Crew.

To close, Kaitlin + Justin share some words of advice to share for all you soon-to-be-married couple out there!

Justin: Don't stop dating after you get married. Still plan fun date nights, do romantic things for each other, and surprise each other.

Kait: Never stop having fun. Even when some days may become mundane, make sure you laugh together. Sometimes when we're feeling yucky, all we need is to act silly together and we snap right out of it.
