Romantic Wedding at Chateau de Rançay

Our couple today Devan and Jérémy combine style and romance for their romantic wedding at Chateau de Rancay, planned by Fête in France and captured by French Grey Photography. We are totally in love with Devan's Monique Lhuiller dress and beautiful florals created by Madame Artisan Fleuriste.

We talked about marriage early on since it made it easier for us to stay together in the same place without having visa issues. We got engaged on January 18 2013 - the first anniversary of when we first met - on a visit to Boston. We celebrated our marriage in the French countryside in June 2015 and the theme was springtime, soft and elegant. On the day of the wedding, we spent the morning and the beginning of the afternoon relaxing and getting ready together. When it came time for me to get dressed, Jérémy left the room. The ceremony was conducted in French and English in two parts: first a non-religious gathering in the gardens for all of our guests and then a prayer service for our families in the château's chapel. One of my favorite moments of the day was when Jérémy said his vows in French, and ended with "Devan, je t'aimerai pour toujours" (Devan, I will love you forever). We don't usually speak to each other, or say "I love you", in French, so it was really touching to hear that for the first time. Romantic Wedding at Chateau de Rançay Snapshot

Bride Devan takes us through their love story and wedding day: " Jérémy and I met in Grenoble in 2012. I had just arrived in France for a 6-month study abroad, and Jérémy, who hails from Metz, was finishing his studies. I got in touch with Jérémy via Couchsurfing in order to meet locals, discover the city and practice my French. He responded right away and we planned to meet up in a bar. We've been together ever since!

After the ceremonies we joined our guests for the cocktail hour and continued the reception with dinner under a tent. We really enjoyed the reception, spending time with our friends and families over a delicious meal. We opened the dance floor with the traditional first dance, followed by the father-daughter and mother-son dance, and then partied into the night."
