The Bride Diaries. Sophie's Stress Sets In - Whimsical Wonderland...

It sounds like Sophie and Jamie have had a turbulent few weeks and I hope that all gets settled soon. Wedding planning sure does have it's ups and downs and I really appreciate Sophie's honesty. Do any of you have a situation to which you can relate? In happier news some of the finer details have been organised. Yay xo Lou

I definitely spoke too soon in my last post. What a nightmare month we've had.

We've had family fall-outs and unhappy guests. I've been working late every week. We've lost a bridesmaid and Jamie's left his job. I'm starting to see why people elope or get a registry office quickie now - planning a wedding amid all the chaos is hard. I think I've cried every day over the past couple of weeks.

But I have been making progress on our plans where I can. I've sorted shoes and jewellery for the girls (now five bridesmaids after my sister-in-law asked to step down). I found these when three of them were visiting, and they honestly have such a knack for spotting the right things!

We've also started collecting jam jars to use instead of hiring vases. And with ourselves, my parents and our bridesmaids on the case, we've already amassed quite the collection. Amy's permanently hungry two-year-old son has been particularly helpful, eating his way through jam! I'm going to decorate the jars really simply with bits of twine.

I also I rediscovered a rustic picnic box I had, which I'll use for cards. It was a press gift from a beauty company a couple of years ago, and just needed a toothbrush and a bit of nail varnish remover to scrub off the painted branding on the lid. Ta-da!

But yes, it's not all roses at the moment. It's been tough. But I know everything will work out. I'm just so proud of how Jamie's handled everything that's been thrown at us, and I love him even more for it.

Onwards and upwards! :)
