The fashion month is in its last (and best) streak this week in Paris. Designers are being celebrated, buys are getting finalized, and Spring 2016 trends are almost fully shaped. On Sunday, Roland Mouret feted ten years of the iconic Galaxy dress during his show at the Chambre de Commerce et d'Industrie de Paris. After presenting his Spring 2016 collection of palm leaf coupé, beautiful cold-shoulder, and body-con dresses, a rainbow of his famed Galaxy dress walked down the runway. We are quite excited to announce that the gorgeous rose pink shade will be exclusive to NM and available for pre-order this week! Take a look at what Roland Mouret had to say about the collection in our Q & A below and shop the Galaxy 10 collection here.

NM: How has the Galaxy dress evolved in the last ten years?
RM: The silhouette of the Galaxy is timeless, and to celebrate its 10th anniversary, I wanted to create pieces with the same effortlessness as the dress. The top, skirt, jacket and jumpsuit sit perfectly alongside the dress and draw in a new audience to the brand.

NM: How does the dress represent the DNA of Roland Mouret?
RM: The most important part of the dress was the fact that it gave women confidence. My customers still often tell me how great they feel in my pieces, which for me is really what matters.

NM: When thinking about the last ten years and the beautiful, inspiring women who have worn the Galaxy dress, what special fashion moments come to mind?
RM: Every actress and woman who has worn the Galaxy has given me so much pleasure. However, I will always cherish the Demi Moore moment, who was the first to wear it in L.A. She took the dress and made it her own, styling it with long strands of pearls. In that, I realized what an 'icon' is.

NM: What's the key to creating a dress that is flattering to the woman's body, regardless of her shape?
RM: Movement is key. She needs to be able to move freely, as though the dress is her second skin. Once she has the dress on, she shouldn't have to think about it again.

NM: What inspires you on a daily basis?
RM: I constantly keep my eyes open to how the women around me move, the way they face the world.

NM: What should we look forward to seeing from Roland Mouret in the spring?
RM: I can't say, but I'm very excited for the season ahead!
