We are not quite ready to say goodbye to summer yet and with the soft pinks and lush greens that are featuring in todays lovely Trudder Lodge wedding shoot, we are on a bit of a floral high! On what must have been on one of only fine days in Ireland this year, a group of talented wedding folk gathered in Wicklow to create this stunning editorial. The dresses play a key role but the venue and the grounds set the tone.. a very romantic, old time kind of elegance.

We wanted to create a romantic bridal shoot that welcomed summer, and celebrated the range of gown styles and shapes available to brides. The wonderful house and grounds at Trudder Lodge was the perfect location. The soft greens and muted pastels of the florals created by Fussy Peacock really enhanced the beauty of this shoot and brought it to life.

For the first look we wanted to keep the style very soft and romantic, to complement the Allure gown. We achieved this by styling Emma's hair with long, loose curls. We kept her makeup very soft and neutral, and adorned her hair with a stunning flower crown created by Melanie.

For the second look (another Allure dress) we darkened Emma's lips, but kept her eyes soft and neutral, and Natalie swept Emma's hair to one side. Although the silhouette of the dress was very simple, the sleeves and back were stunningly detailed and ornate. As a result, we kept jewellery to a minimum, choosing only to complement the dress with a beautiful hair clip from a collection at Anne Gregory, and a stunning, bespoke button bouquet from Pumpkin and Pue.

The third gown was an Enzoani creation with a statement lace train. Stacey gave Emma a muted lip and subtle smokey eyes, and Melanie provided a beautiful structured bouquet of pinks and greens to complement the romantic look. Anne Gregory added a pearl and diamante back accessory to add some extra wow factor to the already stunning dress.

The fourth gown was another from Enzoani, and was a beautiful nude vintage style dress with fabulous beading, ornate cap sleeves and a plunging back. Natalie styled Emma's hair into a soft vintage up do, and Stacey complemented the look with siren red lips and subtle eyes. Melanie provided a traditional bouquet of soft white and pink roses, and Anne Gregory finished the look off with a pearl headpiece.

A naked wedding cake from Primrose Cottage Cakes was the obvious choice to finish off the look of the shoot. Simply decorated with flowers, and set against the lush greens of Trudder lodge, it was the perfect cake for a summer garden wedding. The muted pinks and browns of the Appleberry Press Stationary added the finishing touches to the shoots aesthetic.
