Brandy and Garett wanted a classic theme to complement the non-traditional details incorporated in their celebration. "We chose sapphire blue and white for our wedding day palette to match my beautiful engagement ring," Brandy shares. "I wanted a timeless wedding, so white made up most of our decor and flowers."

Forgoing tradition, the couple chose to spend the night before their big day together. "Waking up next to Garett the morning of our wedding was so special," Brandy smiles. "I loved having a moment for just the two of us before the craziness of the day began." Dedicating a lot of time for photos gave the couple additional time together as newlyweds. "The intimate moments between the two of us during that time are something neither of us will ever forget," Brandy says.

Another non-traditional element was their wedding cake, which was made of vanilla ice cream, with an Oreo-crumb crust bottom and blackberry topping. "I love ice cream, so we went non-traditional again and chose an ice cream cake for our big day," Brandy explains. "We surprised our guests with individual cakes as well."

Guests were surprised a second time with custom engraved shot glass favours ordered from Etsy. "These were served for the bride and groom's toast!" Brandy says. "We loved surprising our guests!"
