Deon & Louise's Black Horse Estate Wedding - Wedding Friends

via

Situated on the edge of the Magalies river, lies the beautiful Black Horse Estate, the venue for Deon and Louise's wedding. The day was photographed by Palm Photography, an artist true to his own style, and we love his work. We are completely captured by Louise's raid hair, so radiant and warm, what a beautiful bride! Have a look and enjoy this one with us!

Lovebirds | How did you two meet?

It was 2013, Louise had been living in the UAE for a year already and Deon had just
moved to Dubai to follow a career opportunity. Louise went to church with her flatmate
at the the time, and that is where Deon laid eyes on her. For Deon it was love at first
sight but Louise had to be persuaded a little more...

Deon bought the ring and waited for the right moment, which was on the anniversary of
their first meeting. They were on an island in Malaysia, heavy rain, trapped in a bush villa overlooking trees rocks and ocean. And he popped the question.

I said Yes | How did the proposal go down?

Deon had an idyllic lunch planned on the beach where he was planning to propose... but
as heavy rain set in; I suggested an afternoon nap instead. The rain continued into the
late afternoon which meant for the whole secret lunch plan to change. After a while
Deon woke me up to tell me that he has made dinner plans and I had to get ready for
dinner at the restaurant. I was struggling to wake up and as I lazily turned around to look
at him, he was sitting on the bed with an open ring box - inside the most beautiful pieceof jewellery I have ever seen.

The Big Day | Tell us the most memorable moment of your wedding day?

Our wedding was held at Blackhorse Brewery in Magaliesburg, set between a lovely
mountain range. As the bride approached the chapel with her bridesmaids, the guests
started hearing a rumble outside. Some thought it was thunder, some thought the bride
was coming through the roof, but it was in fact the mountain monkeys coming to join the
party. They played on the roof and even had what sounded like comments on the pastor's
sermon. And then, the big moment, as the pastor asked the question of objection to the
marriage, a bird flew into the window! Epic! Everyone had a good laugh and the
wedding continued.

I Quote | Describe in one sentence your wedding day

Crazy fun and picture perfect, definitely one of the best days of our lives!

Forever & Always | Any advice for future brides

Relax, enjoy the day. A lot of stress and energy goes into organizing your wedding and
on the day something will probably go wrong - family fights, arguments, wrong songs,
decor gone stray. You cannot change it, just go along with it. Have a glass of champagne
but don't over do it, stay a lady. Its all about you, enjoy it!
