To match the gorgeous weather, we have an equally gorgeous woodland engagement shoot to share with you today.

Victoria and Steve got in touch with us earlier this month after using Festival Brides to help plan their August wedding which will be taking place at the awesome venue, Cornish Tipi Weddings. They emailed not only to send in their gorgeous woodland engagement shoot but also to say thank you for helping them plan their Mexican meets festival wedding which sounds like it's going to be pretty epic (more details on their plans can be found below). We never grow tired of hearing that Festival Brides has helped someone plan their perfect wedding. It's awesome to know that we're inspiring you all and it makes all those late nights blogging 100% worth it.

We were in the same halls of residence at uni, and we liked each other right away. It was one of those meeting-of-the-eyes-and-knowing-something-incredible-is-there experiences. But despite that, the timing wasn't right and we were friends for five years before finally getting together.

I'm not sure if this classes as a first date, but because we were already friends, we had planned a weekend trip to Barcelona together. We'd been spending a lot of time with one another in the lead up to that trip so I think we both knew something was brewing, but officially we were going as friends. In the end, we kissed that first night and the whole weekend became like a wonderfully magical first date.

Steve proposed in the Grunewald forest just outside of Berlin when we were living there last year. It took a while to find a spot that wasn't filled with naked people (!), but eventually he found a beautiful clearing where we set up a little picnic. We both do yoga and Steve started doing some sun salutations while I called out the different names of the poses - like a game of yoga charades. And then he was suddenly on one knee. "What's this one called", he asked, and I was baffled until suddenly I saw the ring. It was wonderful. I've told the story in more detail on our blog Bridges and Balloons.

We're getting married amid the forest at Cornish Tipi Weddings in August with lots of family and friends. Our wedding party is huge - Victoria has 11 bridesmaids, two bridesmen and six flower girls, and Steve has two best men, and seven groomsmen.

There's no particular theme, but we've been travelling around the world for the past few years and we particularly loved Mexico so there will be some Mexican influences for sure, including lots of colourful papel picado. In fact, the whole thing is going to be very colourful. Most people are staying at the venue in tipis for the weekend so it'll be like a little festival in the woods with lots of great food, cocktails, and games. There's even a lake or swimming! We can't wait.

We found our photographer, Sarah London through Festival Brides. We looked at so many different photographers, but kept coming back to Sarah. We love her photography style and she's also just really lovely. The engagement shoot location in Richmond Park was perfect, continuing the forest theme from the proposal and the wedding. Some deer even made an appearance!

We both really want to go to Burning Man. In fact, we're on the waiting list for tickets this year, so if they come through it might be our honeymoon!
