Zurry and Brendan's romance had a bit of an unconventional beginning. The couple met while they playing softball on Brendan's brother's team and later decided to become roommates. "It's funny because shortly after moving in together, I asked Brendan where he saw himself in five years," Zurry remembers. "He replied 'married to you with kids'. Sure enough, almost five years to the date we got married!"

"We both wanted to have an outdoor wedding because we love the nature," Zurry explains. The couple chose the Markham Museum, a 25-acre, open-air museum, which is home to rustic barns, an apple orchard, as well as an abandoned train station, for their venue.

Wanting their wedding to be highly personalized, Zurry and Brendan hand-made many of their decor elements, from the photo booth backdrop to the amazing hot air balloon centrepieces. The couple also opted to have their celebration entirely catered by food trucks, which were lined up outside the reception tent. "We wanted something different from a sit-down dinner and we are absolutely obsessed with food trucks," Zurry explains. "Everyone loved this idea and it created such a fun, laidback vibe, which is exactly what we wanted."
