If you're working with a small space, event planner Preston Bailey has a smart trick for making the room you're working with appear more spacious than it is. Preston says that putting your furniture against the walls of the room, rather than in the room's center will actually make the space seem larger. Lighting wise, try to uplight the walls of the room as well, which will also help maximize the look of your space.
