"When Adam and I started to plan our wedding, the only things we were clear on were that: Number one, we wanted the wedding to feel like an intimate family gathering and number two, there was no way it could be an actual intimate family gathering because we both have huge families!" exclaims Ellyse.

With a guest list of 130, the couple wanted a venue that could accommodate quite a few people, but still offer the warm, cozy vibe they were after. They settled on Temple's Sugar Bush, a lovely, rustic property outside of Ottawa. The ceremony was held in the property's forest garden beneath a pretty white trellis. Ellyse's bridesmaids wore pretty blue dresses while Adam's groomsmen wore blue plaid shirts perfect for the couple's forest venue.

After the "I dos" guests moved indoors for a reception filled with sweet homespun details and woodsy accents. Reception tables were adorned with burlap runners and wooden vases filled with white hydrangeas while airy white lanterns hung from the timber frame venue's ceiling. Ellyse and Adam were so inspired by their venue, they chose to pay homage to it with their wedding favours, sending guests home with maple syrup parting gifts!
