Silver and ivory wedding inspiration

Here at Wedding Sparrow HQ we're always looking for wedding inspiration for the styled shoots we work on and we love to use at least four or five different colours and textures to create depth and interest. Something we usually include is a metallic highlight or undertone. Whether it's silver, gold or bronze, there's always a space for a little metal in a wedding colour palette. In today's case we have two. We love mixing metallics and the gold flecked wedding cake in this largely silver adorned styled wedding looks divine. Photographer Jeanette from To Love Photographie tells us her inspiration...

"Roxanne of Persnickety Events and I wanted to create a bridal beauty shoot that was simple and romantic. The initial inspiration was Leonardo DaVinci's female charcoal head drawings. Not only was he technically adept but he seemed to capture their souls in his pieces. That was the jumping off point, with the idea to create something beautiful, natural, and emotive. In terms of the photography, I focused on the Bride's eyes and the natural softness that a woman exudes to try to evoke the same emotion one would feel when looking at the women DaVinci drew. When it came to style and the decorative elements, Roxanne wanted to keep the tablescape clean and simple with soft white florals and whispy greenery, bone white plates, and gold antique flatware while Janderyn of Earth and Sugar embellished her delicate three tier confection with watercolor and gold leaf that seemed to cascade down the cake so fluidly. These elements flirted with the femininity of the Bride's Jenny Packham gown as the gold accents in the decor and cake complimented the silver embellishments that caught the light so beautifully. Her hair was soft and wind swept, mimicking the movement in her gown, and gently curled as an ode to the women DaVinci drew. All these elements provided a subtle contrast to the texture of the Coral backdrop for which the tablescape, cake, and Bride adorned." Vendor details
