Top Spots in the Hunter Valley for a Wedding this Summer

The Australian region of Hunter Valley in New South Wales provides a picturesque location for any wedding ceremony in the summer.

Only 120 kilometres from Sydney, Hunter Valley is a spectacular location known for its vast river valleys and amazing wineries.

Furthermore, there are so many first-class venues available there for hosting a wedding. You just have to know what these particular spots are.

Stonehurst Cedar Creek

Stonehurst Cedar Creek provides a beautiful romantic setting for any wedding ceremony. This family-owned venue features an organic vineyard, cottage, and farm. If the happy couple is the outdoors type, then they will love to have their wedding here.

The best part is when you rent this venue for the day, you will get the entire private estate to yourselves. There won’t be any other weddings taking place on that day right after you or at some nearby area on the property.

This will make it more personal for everyone as you gather on these 550 acres to celebrate the wedding. You will also find there’re wildlife, dogs, cows, horses, and rural buildings on the property as well. The cost of the venue starts from $1,000 for up to 200 guests.

Spicers Vineyards Estate & Restaurant Botanica

This is one of the more affordable venues priced at only $500 for up to 120 guests. This vineyard estate lies on 4 acres of land and provides an intimate wedding location for couples.

In addition, you will have plenty of wine and food choices at the restaurant which exists there. Couples can even take advantage of the Spa Anise Day Spa to relax after the wedding is over.

During the Traveller’s Choice Awards of 2017, Spicers Vineyards Estate ranked # 1 for Romance in Australia and # 1 for Service in Australia. Here is a link to see this. This may not be the most significant venue, but it is priced reasonably.

Mulla Villa

Mulla Villa is a historic venue initially constructed by prisoners in 1840. For the last 25 years, it has served as a bed & breakfast for honeymooning couples wanting to get away and be alone together in a beautiful and peaceful environment.

The property features a barn which has just recently been turned into a venue for hosting weddings. Located in the village of Wollombi, you will have 75 acres available for holding the best country-style wedding ever.

The venue is priced at $2,000 for up to 100 guests. This might be a tad pricey for numbers of guests, but the peaceful location sure makes up for the expense.

Country Charm Celebrations

Another affordable wedding venue priced at only $1,000 for up to 80 guests. Country Charm Celebrations features a private country property that can be rented for holding a wedding ceremony to remember. It is located in the Burralong Valley in Murrays Run of Hunter Valley.

The property features a spacious barn and 3.6 acres of cleared landscape with gorgeous views of the bushlands in the distance. There are virtually unlimited choices for the beverages and food that you can have.

You can choose to have a sit-down cocktail style setting or a simple BBQ with hamburgers and paper plates. Whatever you want for the wedding, the venue can accommodate.
