The fires are less than 2 hours away from where we live, yet the smell in the air all day was one of burning and the sky was hazy as we were notified to keep all windows and doors closed due to the poor air quality. Even our school field trip was cancelled since kids have to stay indoors with the air quality being so poor. The photos from these fires leave me speechless. Many of us know people who have been affected in some way.
