so happy to see katie + ryan's wedding festivities up all day on @stylemepretty today! first was their engagement and now you can check out their welcome dinner. if you're new to my IG, a quick background on me - I'm from New England - born and raised in CT, then lived in RI before moving to Australia, then back to CT, then hoboken, NJ, then to San Francisco for ~7 years and most recently we relocated to the south. so if you see a lot of saltwater inspired pics over here, it's in my blood - I've spent more time in salty air than I have without. with that said, when I first spoke with katie + ryan, I learned that katie is from Cape Cod and ryan is from San Francisco and they were marrying in the south, and it was literally a match made in wedding planner / client heaven (not to mention they are both as sweet as can be and we just had so much fun working together!) we wanted to reflect their home states for their welcome dinner, with small nods to each pulled in throughout the decor and even the food. in lieu of place cards, the bride and groom hand-wrote 150 postcards thanking each guest for their attendance and we included them in each place setting as a sentimental surprise. the colors were nantucket red, navy, driftwood and white and we had such a blast welcoming guests from near and far to kick off the wedding weekend in Charlottesville, VA. swipe through to see some faves from @imryanray and check it all out on @stylemepretty. // planning, design + florals @jacinfitzgerald, calligraphy + paper goods @chelseapetaja, linens @latavolalinen, koozies @southernfriedpaper, venue @keswick_hall.
