Wedding - For Better Or Worse

For Better Or Worse

To me, wedding photography isn't about what you can do when everything goes right, it's about what you can do when everything is working against you. Anya and Josh had a fantastic wedding and couldn't ask for better weather. The venue, though, was under heavy renovations, and nicely provided a limo to a nearby park. Except the limo driver didn't know how to get there. As we slowly manuver meandering turns, Anya was yelling the same thing I was thinking -- "We're losing the light!" We pull in next to the river, only to realize this isn't the park ? it's a local restaurant. The sun is minutes away from going down, so I let the bride know the principal rules of wedding photography: 1) It's better to ask forgiveness than permission and 2) People in wedding dresses can get away with almost anything. This shot was taken less than two minutes from exiting the limo. My assistant, of course, was at the actual park, so I had the bride's dad hold the flash. And we didn't even get arrested. ------------ www.amazon.com/ryanbrenizer How to stalk me (or just contact me) New York City Event and Wedding Photographer Ryan Brenizer
