The Glass House Effect | A Natural Boho Luxe Wedding Shoot

The Glass House Effect | A Natural Boho Luxe Wedding Shoot

via

Simple yet beautiful was the main theme for this gorgeous styled wedding shoot captured by Jun Tan Weddings in a beautiful glass house on the grounds of Braisty Estate in Summerbridge. Jun wanted to show that you don't have to have a huge budget to create a beautiful setting for your wedding and that ' beauty can be found in every corner' if you use a little imagination and creativity.

In this shoot Jun and the team of wedding creatives use the natural 'Miss Haversham' charm of the glass house and the abundance of natural light it offers to create an elegant and endearing boho luxe shoot that just works so so well. We love the colour palette of bronze and gold which works wonderfully with the existing foilage and flowers in the glass house. The naked cake also looks amazing and adds just the right amount of wedding luxe to the more wild nature of the space. Nothing over powers here which is why it works so well. The result is a shoot that is natural, classic, elegant and beautiful and we LOVE it.

Jun talks us through the ideas and inspiration behind the shoot...

Simple, Elegant and Beautiful....

I have to thank my Instagram feed for the inspiration behind this shoot! With the growing number of glass house weddings popping up on my explore section, mixed in with my usual following of folksy landscapes, I thought it would be a good opportunity for me to jump on the bandwagon and couple my love affair of nature and natural light into a styled shoot that embraced all the things that both myself and my wife love.

When we were planning our own wedding, we considered Syon Park's beautiful glass dome as a potential venue but sadly our wedding was overseas and we never got to have a wedding there. In a selfish kind of way, this shoot was a homage to that as it's a perfect embodiment of how we would've had that day had our wedding taken place here in the UK.

How it came about...

The suppliers all shared the same vision and with their expertise in their respective fields, they interpreted the theme as they saw fit. Billie and Oliver, being a real life couple of ten years, made it even easier to shoot as the love between them was genuine and something I wanted to convey in my pictures.

I hope the shoot helps inspire other couples out there who are planning for their big day but don't have a big budget. I wanted to show that simple can also be beautiful - be it a naked cake to a green house decorated with just some foliage and candles - it's all in the little details that brings out the elegance. For me, it's about documenting the love between two people and being able to bring back memories of that special day through my photos. Having a stunning venue certainly makes it easier but beauty can be found in any corner - even in a greenhouse.
