Zachary and Brooke were engaged in South Beach, Miami. "He proposed to me in the middle of the night on the beach," Brooke recalls. "It happened under the stars while our toes touched in the sand and we were listening to the ocean breeze." The pair, who are both self-proclaimed foodies, celebrated with sushi right afterward at three a.m.

White was the colour of choice for the couple. "We chose white in its purest form because it represents innocence, wholeness and perfection," Brooke remarks. "We tried to create a sense of peace, calm, comfort and hope with the wedding decor."

For Brooke, the flowers were an important detail for their wedding. "We chose the white hydrangea as our wedding flower because it symbolizes heartfelt emotion, gratitude and developing a deeper understanding between two people," Brooke explains. "I also borrowed my mom's floral headpiece, which she wore at her own wedding."

The couple's wedding was full of memorable occasions, including being raised up on chairs during their traditional Jewish dance, and walking Toronto's Yorkville neighbourhood. "I'll never forget looking into his eyes and knowing how lucky I was to get to spend the rest of my life with him," Brooke smiles. "We both have never been that happy as we were on our wedding day!"
