Belle Bride Victoria - Run up to the wedding - French Wedding Style

via

When we get engaged and start planning our weddings it can seem like ages away and then we are finally in the 3 month run up to the wedding and wondering where the time has gone, and that is where real bride Victoria is. Only 3 months to go until the big day!

So let's catch up with Bride to Be Victoria:

"Hi everyone, I don't know where you are but let me tell you than spring is still far away here in Nova Scotia, sidewalk are still snowy... hard to believe we are getting married in less than 3 months (omg, seriously?!).

Everything is pretty much set from caterer to decoration but all the crazy details are still work in progress. We still have few guests waiting for RSVP before we can start table placement (I have heard this is the worst part of wedding planning). The goal is to plan little details ahead so that the D-day no matter what happened we will focus on enjoying our moment and our loved ones. For example, we will arrange with friends to pick up guests at the airport and train station the Friday and the Saturday. We are also planning to give our helping team a timeline of the weekend and assigned tasks.

I am a very analytic person so I am a bit stressed out about all the coordination required around the organization between the professionals, the guests and getting ourselves ready!

We still have to write the non religious ceremony (we already wrote the outline), design menus, table placements, and ceremony programs. Also we haven't found a car yet, we would like an old black and white DS but we will have to rethink our wishes I guess... time is flying by !

We booked our tickets for the wedding but haven't planned anything for the honeymoon in 2018.

We will arrive on June 2 and stay 10 days after the wedding before coming back home to Halifax. I am planning on relaxing with my family in the South of France waiting for the wedding.

I had my last dress fitting this week and Katrina keep amazing me with her stunning work. This dress is already a gem and I can't wait to try it all with shoes, jewellery and veil. We talked a lot about transportation for the dress and the veil as I will be traveling a lot across France before the big day. We finally decided to go for a carry on box !

We still have quite a lot of work to do but it is all coming together as we dropped our wedding application at the city hall 🙂

Here is our to do list for the last run :

  • buy my wedding band (Maxime is unsure yet about getting tattooed or buy one)
  • book a vintage car
  • write our vows
  • give the final guest count to our caterer
  • setting up our timeline
  • buy shoes for him and lingerie for me
  • setting up a wedding playlist
  • getting married, have fun and enjoy
