A Velvet Boho-Inspired New Year's Eve Wedding

A Velvet Boho-Inspired New Year's Eve Wedding

Have you got a penchant for all things luxe + velvety? Maybe a little funky and 70s-inspired, too? Well, today's editorial is proof that velvet dreams do come true! From velvet platform boots, glittery hair, rock candy escort cards, to a shimmering disco ball, this styled shoot definitely brought a modern take on 70s vibes! Ella Florence Photography teamed up with designer Bliss Events + florist Wildflower Boise to really make things pop. A soft + sultry palette was created with pink + golden hues, with deeper colors placed throughout to create contrast. Velvet draped across the table, the bridesmaids wore gowns of luxe velvet, and the bride kept things interesting by changing up her look!

Ella Florence Photography tells us About a year ago, before pulling out an old velvet dress of my mother's to wear to a New Year's work party, I thought to myself, if I was to re-do my wedding velvet HAD to be a part of it. And from there the idea of the funkiest bride ran wild; she would don the coolest textures + rock the raddest boots, ever. New Year's Eve weddings are typically black + gold with confetti and all that jazz, so I really wanted to spice up that day for potential brides! What a fun day to get married!!

Ready to be inspired? Let's look!!

How elegant yet artsy is this invitation suite by Paperie and Pen?

The disco ball. The beaded dress from White Meadow Bridal. The bride's choker. Her glittery makeup by Ashley Burgard ... Everything here is so awesome!!

Isn't the full bouquet featuring the king protea simply stunning?!

That setup!! We would *TOTALLY* have this lounge in our home...

The velvet from Candy Crush Events really complemented the furniture + array of pillows from Blush Creek.

Ella Florence shares Have a low-profile table and just sit on the floor with your best friends under a disco ball until the clock strikes midnight! Every detail in this shoot was meant to inspire brides dream up their perfect day by forgetting trends (even though now velvet is like a MAJOR hit in the fashion world) + forget what everyone else is doing to make the day completely about them + their beloved.

This artsy three-tier cake was crafted by Greg Marsh Cakes.

Velvet for the bridesmaids? We LOVE it! Their darling dresses are from ASOS.

Those rockin' velvet kicks are from Urban Outfitters. And the bride's hair? Irons and Pins changed up her look by adding the sparkling glitter at her root base.

The groom looked extremely sharp in his Alfani Slim Fit Evening Jacket.

How much fun was that?! Happy (ALMOST) New Year, everyone!!
