With the drop in temperatures, we're definitely getting into the holiday season around here. And this week's DIY is perfect for your seasonal table! Whether you choose to use tea lights or tapered candles, these do-it-yourself gourd candle holders are sure to be the talk of your next celebration!

MATERIALS INSTRUCTIONS

Determine the base width of your candles. (Our standard taper candles were 3/4″ base and the tea candles [removed from the metal tin] were 1 1/2″) // Use the drill bit that matches the base size of your candle. // Determine the flattest side of the gourd and place it on the table flat side down. // Drilled a hole in the top of the gourd. // Place a candle inside and light. TIPS: Some gourds are uneven so to level it, we cut the bottom sightly so it would sit on our table flat.
