Amanda and Stephan held their wedding reception at the Thompson Hotel, a venue which they felt called for an elegant yet classic decor theme. "We didn't want to commit to a specific colour but we wanted a timeless palette, which we had by mixing gold and silver accents with white flowers," Amanda says. One of the bride's favourite details of the decor were the flowers by Stemz. "Working with Fiona at Stemz was amazing. She understood what we wanted and everyone was blown away by the final floral look!" she says.

Along with its elegant feel, the Thompson Hotel provided amazing food for the couple's wedding. "The food at the Thompson was incredible. Many of our guests said not only was it the best wedding food they've had but it was one of the best meals they've ever had," Amanda says.

Food and decor aside, the couple agrees that seeing each other for the first time at the church was the best moment of the day. "It was truly a moment I'll never forget. We had planned the whole wedding together but kept our final wedding looks a secret," the bride says. "When we finally saw each other it was so exciting. We couldn't stop whispering to each other once we got to the altar."

Another favourite moment was the choreographed dance Amanda and her father performed to "My Girl" at the reception. "We had practised for months and when we finally performed it at the wedding we did it without any mistakes. Seeing the guests' reaction to it was really fun too," says Amanda. "There's nothing I would've changed about my wedding day."
