We first met...

Ryan and I met through mutual friends at his birthday lunch. We had been friends with the same people for years and had never met until that day!

We knew it was love...

Ryan and I fell in love immediately. Ryan says that he fell in love before our first date. We were at lunch with friends for the second time and that's when he said he fell in love with me. After a few weeks of dating, he told me on the phone one night thinking I had fallen asleep, but I heard him! I of course said it back.

I knew I loved Ryan very early on. I fall more in love with him every day.

The lead up...

I knew that he wanted to ask me to marry him, however I did not know where or when it would happen.

The proposal...

Ryan and I were in Mexico. He planned a private dinner in a hut on the beach. When I was walking down the isle of sand to the dinner, he was standing there waiting for me. He got down on one knee, and it was magical.

We then had plans to fly to see my parents in Philadelphia. They picked us up at the airport, and I was hiding my left hand the entire car ride to their house! As soon as we got out of the car, in the driveway, we told them and showed them the ring. My parents love Ryan and were thrilled.

The ring...

Ryan took me to a jewellery store to see what I liked. I love antique jewellery, so Ryan designed my ring for me with a vintage feel. The engagement ring is 2&1/2 carat princess cut diamond with a platinum band with 1&1/2 carats of invisible and channel set baguettes.

Wedding plans...

We are getting married at Saddlerock Ranch at the Main House Garden on August 6,^, 2016. This is my parents 39 ^th wedding anniversary. It is going to be magical with themes being a blend of Great Gatsby, Great Expectations, Marie Antoinette, Meet Joe Black, with a touch of enchanted forest and a hidden Harry Potter theme. Surrounded by a giraffe, zebras, and horses, there will be a black and white dance floor under oak trees dripping in twinkle lights and chandeliers. Outdoor living rooms will have furniture designed by Ryan, including blue velvet couches and chez lounges.
