About the Shoot

The theme was romantic forest. Dana, the bride is such a sweetheart and looked absolutely stunning in her beautiful wedding dress. Her husband has eyes only for her... Located in Saratoga, CA, less than an hour from San Francisco, Saratoga Springs provided the location for our green wedding themed session. The mix of the natural light that filtered through the tall trees combined with all the greenscape and with the market lights of Bay Area Event Lights, created a perfect romantic atmosphere. The wedding dress was provided by Sarah Seven and made our bride look like a beautiful fairy in the forest. The make-up and hair was curated by Samuel Harris and Katey Smith, they gave her a natural charming touch. The details and the day was organized by Ashley of First Pick Planning. Ashley also created the amazing macramé backdrop for the ceremony area; decorated with colorful flowers, it made the ceremony unique. The bouquet was provided by Farm Girl Flowerswith seasonal flowers help to give vibrant colors to the scene, perfectly combined with the flower crowns on the blond hair of bride. The smells of the pink roses was sweet and intense. Jilly Ink, with her hand written calligraphy gave personalize touch to the menu, table decor and playful signs. The desert table the was the proverbial icing on the cake. The naked cake was beautifully decorated with an intricate handmade, white flower. The white frosting on the groom's cake was accentuated with green leaves. Many thanks to Pink Posy for all the other little sweets that we were happy to devour. The wooden table and chairs from Williams Rentals were essential to complete our rustic theme.

Just lovely, right? The ceremony set-up is really romantic, I love the macrame backdrop, and that dessert table is just gorgeous too! My favourite detail is maybe the brown paper circle menus - so simple, but so clever!

Thanks so much to Lilly Red Photography, First Pick Planning and the rest of these wonderful wedding vendors for sharing their inspiration-filled shoot with us.
