Vintage-Style Pantone Wedding Inspiration

Vintage-Style Pantone Wedding Inspiration

via

Every year, trend forecasters at Pantone predict the Colour of the Year. (This year it was two colours - Rose Quartz and Serenity.)

These hues are seen as the epitome of all things current and modern, a sign of trends to come in fashion, interiors and design.

Which is why it's so cool that today's wedding inspiration takes an altogether different slant on Rose Quartz and Serenity, giving these pretty hues a vintage-inspired spin.

Photographed by Caroline Lima Photography, planned by North Carolina co-ordinators, La Cosa Bella Events, and produced by Be Inspired PR, this shoot shows you how to rock a pretty pink and blue wedding palate, in a way that's chic, romantic, and grown-up.

To tell us more about it, we'll hand you over to the lovely Gina of La Cosa Bella Events ...

From the Stylists

Spring time and weddings go hand and hand as does the combination of sweet pink and the serenity of blue. We wanted to present sophisticated details and images as well as bring in a few playful elements. When these Pantone colors were presented as Colors of the Year, one could understand the appeal of the combination. Yet those of us that are designers and planners knew there would naturally be challenges in regard to keeping the pink and blue elegant and in avoiding the cuteness that's often associated with baby and child-related events. What makes this styled shoot successful is that details such as flowers, vintage furniture and antique silver helped to ground the sweetness of the colors. Metallics were present in the paper items and on the wedding cake adding another more sophisticated element to the color scheme. A striped pattern on the napkins brought in an unexpected decor detail. The beauty of this color combination is that you can make it fun. This is apparent in the pink cotton candy which did double duty in the couple's signature drink and as a sweet bribe for the flower girl.

Oh so pretty! It's really chic and romantic, isn't it? I just love those subtle tones together, and they work so well with a retro feel. (The car and the candy floss make it for me!)

Thanks so much to Caroline Lima Photography, La Cosa Bella Events, Be Inspired PR, and the rest of their team of wedding vendors from Raleigh and beyond, for sharing their pretty Pantone inspiration with us.
