This morning we have this sweet Texan wedding for you, held in the beautiful gardens of Rancho Miranda. Michelle & Jordan planned a personal ceremony that reflected their Christian beliefs, and they were lucky enough to be married by the groom's grandfather! They've shared with us their full ceremony script, readings and vows, so be sure to check them out for your own meaningful ceremony inspiration.

The Ceremony

Why did you choose this location for your ceremony? We wanted to get married outside and Rancho Mirando offered the perfect backdrop for what we had in mind. We wanted to capture the Texas hill country feel (as a lot of our family lives outside of Texas). The setting was intimate and inviting.

Your ceremony in three words. Christian, personal, romantic.

Was your wedding ceremony religious? Yes, but not too traditional.

What was your favorite thing about your wedding ceremony? Walking down the aisle with my dad was a lovely moment I will keep dear in my heart. The ceremony was joyful and lighthearted. We were very luck to have all of our loved ones around us to support us on our special day.

Who officiated your ceremony? How did you choose him/her? Dr. Clarence Darter officiated the ceremony. He is Jordan's grandfather. We wanted someone we knew to marry us and that person to be special to us. He not only married Jordan and I but he also married Jordan's parents as well. We loved that we were able to have Clarence marry us. This was very special to us.

How did you go about planning your ceremony? We wanted to incorporate our Christian values but not be too traditional. We asked Clarence, Jordan's grandfather, to help us write the ceremony, and incorporate how much we value the bond of holy matrimony. We wanted the ceremony to resemble the strength in marriage and togetherness.

What were your ceremony readings? We had one reading, Geneses 2:21-25. Clarence (our officiant) also told two stories for us!

What were your vows like? We shared traditional vows. " Do you take Michelle/Jordan to be your wife/husband and do you promise before God and these witnesses that you will be to her/him a true and devoted husband/wife, true to her/him in sickness and in health, in joy and in sorrow, in prosperity and adversity; and forsaking all others, you will keep yourself to her/him, and to her/him only, in all love and honor, in all duty and service, in all faith and tenderness, to live with her/him and cherish her/him according to the ordinance of God, until you are parted by death?"

What was your ceremony music?
Seating of Families: Ave Maria - Schubert
Bridesmaids' Entrance: Pachelbel's Canon in D (violin & piano cover)
Processional: Hallelujah (piano instrumental) - Brian Crain
Recessional: Love Someone - Jason Mraz
