Our offbeat wedding at a glance:

Growing up on opposite ends of the world, we always thought it was magical how fate brought us together in the same place at the same time. We decided on a vintage travel-themed wedding! From our flight attendant-inspired bridesmaids to our vintage airmail favors filled with candy from around the world, every detail was carefully selected to bring out the adventure of travel for our guests.

Tell us about the ceremony:

Our ceremony was held in an intimate marble room in the train station. With nothing but candlelight illuminating the room, I entered to a song that spoke volumes about our relationship, Kat Edmunson's "All the Way." I even came out on a specific line!

Our officiant wisely spoke about my favorite book growing up, Oh, the Places You'll Go! and our vows were silly and sweet. (Even though I would later find out my husband-to-be wrote his over Bloody Marys the morning of the wedding...I forgave him because they were perfect.) We laughed and cried (but mostly laughed).

Tell us about your reception:

As guests arrived for cocktail hour, they signed a globe guest book and wrote their well-wishes on vintage postcards we'd collected. They found their seats on a large map, as each table was assigned a place in the world we plan on visiting. They then took their passport programs we designed and headed to our "passport booths" to have their picture made in the super fun photo booths.

They then entered a room laden with gold chargers and navy sashes. Each centerpiece was designed around on antique we had found that represented each country or place. Our floral designer perfectly captured my personality with the flowers... bright blooms popping out of eccentric textures.

Our wedding party entered to The Darkness, and we had a stunning and delicious plated dinner while our families proceeded to make us sob with heartfelt toasts.

We opened the dance floor with a not-so-choreographed but oh-so-sweet Grease Medley dance, and from that point on the dance floor was never empty. Well, except for when I unveiled my wedding gift to my husband...a hand-built Time Crisis II arcade machine I'd been hiding for eleven months!
