Carolina Herrera

Carolina Herrera envisioned spring fashion through rose-colored glasses, with a dreamy yet intricately constructed collection. The Frick Museum was the perfect Beaux-Arts backdrop for Herrera's urbane mix of soft colors and structured, grid-like surfaces held together by sheer strips of fabric. The end result: minimal, elegant looks befitting modern uptown girls.

3.1 Phillip Lim
rag & bone

Lela Rose Reem Acra Zac Posen is available in selected stores at our Designer Eveningwear boutiques.

Over in Brooklyn, designers Marcus Wainwright and David Neville unveiled a collection of signature rag & bone styles that fused tomboyish nonchalance with full-on sex appeal. Military influences-army sweaters, jumpsuits and bomber jackets-were front and center. Colored knitwear paired with slim skirts offered sporty, sleek looks that hugged the body without restricting freedom of movement.

To mark his label's 10th anniversary, Phillip Lim collaborated with artist Maya Lin for a "stop and smell the flowers" runway (complete with sculptured mounds of soil) to showcase his earthy yet polished spring collection. The looks were quirky, feminine and sporty, with shades of green, blue, white and sand-the palette of our planet's satellite selfies. Shiny jackets and paper-bag-waist shorts were highlights of the show, and hinted at an arty, more athletic direction for the start of Lim's next decade.

Zero + Maria Cornejo will be available online in spring 2016.

Reem Acra's spring collection blended elements of her Lebanese past and her American present, with intricate Middle Eastern beadwork adorning red carpet-worthy gowns. Floral prints, tulle overlays and brilliant colors played beautifully together in a romantic, luxe bohemian groove. The final look, a sparkling floor-length gown, stole the show.

Lela Rose's spring ready-to-wear collection bubbled with ladylike flair. Even her menswear-inspired pieces were dusted with high-fashion magic: think silvery tweed jackets paired with sheer organza pants. Shimmery metallics, hand-cut floral appliqués and glorious colors defined the designer's formal wear-and gave a fairy-tale finish to a charming collection.

Zac Posen

Zac Posen's dramatic collection outshone the wattage of his A-list front row. (Amy Schumer, Jennifer Hudson and Christina Hendricks were just a few of the famous fans in attendance.) From crisp, polished day looks to dark evening stunners, the designer's spring styles radiated with modern glamor.

Zero + Maria Cornejo

For her spring Zero + Maria Cornejo collection, the designer wanted to "start from a clean canvas and create something new." In many cases, her canvas remained clean with just a few touches of origami-like treatment to the fabrics. Cornejo kept her signature fluid silhouettes throughout, presenting the long, languid looks that have garnered a devoted cult following.
