A Boho Festival Inspired Bridal Shoot

A Boho Festival Inspired Bridal Shoot

via

Afternoon Lovely Peeps,

We are sharing an awesome bohemian inspired styled bridal shoot with you all today featuring some of my favourite wedding suppliers.

Put together by Natalie from uber cool wedding and event styling company Curious Fair and the amazingly talented Jo from Love Hair, this shoot features some beautiful free spirited feather head dresses, stunning wild flowers and gorgeous dresses all captured perfectly by Nicola Jo Photography in a barren yet beautiful landscape.

I. Love. It.

Natalie from Curious Fair talks us through the ideas for the shoot.....

I design & create unique headpieces centered around the use of Wild Feathers. The main ethos for all of my headpieces is for the wearer to 'Stand Out From The Crowd'. The idea for the boho bridal headpiece range came from meeting Jo (Love Hair & Co) & discovering a shared interest of all things bohemian. We talked about our love for bridal styling in America & Australia and how we'd like to bring that vibe to the UK. Jo is a hair stylist & wanted to experiment with feather hair accessories with her more alternative clients. The bridal range was created with them in mind. We talked about what would work well from Jo's hair styling experience ensuring that we covered numerous options. The collection is designed to work with a wide range of updos & loose hair styles, from statement wild feather crowns to individual clip in feather hair details.

Not long after I started designing the boho bridal range, I went for a walk on Chobham Common, Surrey. The winter sun looked beautiful on the pale, long grasses & I knew this would be the perfect spot for our shoot. Chobham Common has such an unusual landscape, its desert tones, natural ponds & distorted sun burned trees transport you away to another landscape. I'd met with Nicola a few months before & her beautifully soft & natural images instantly came to mind when deciding who would shoot the piece.

We want to encourage brides to break away from traditional formal updos and embrace a more relaxed festival chic style. The collection is created in muted & natural tones complimenting both white dresses and alternative shades. We also wanted to create headpieces that could be worn again for future events, festivals & parties. Our boho range starts from £15 and can be found via Jo's Website or Natalie's Etsy shop. If you love the vibe but are looking for something bespoke, Natalie loves creating one off pieces so please get in touch.
