I Propose | Elaborate on how the two of you met

Tarryn and I had been speaking about getting engaged, so to try and keep the proposal a secret was a challenge, the only way I could hide my intentions was to take both of us out on my birthday in Dec 2012. We took a drive out to the Cradle of humankind where we were going for dinner. On the way there I took a detour passed Kloofzicht entrance where I knew Tarryn always wanted to get married. Once we got to the entrance, I parked the car by the fountain at the entrance, walked around the car, pulled her out the car and dropped to one knee, I was so nervous I couldn't stop shaking and almost rushed through the proposal. She was so surprised that she wasn't really sure what was going on, but the said yes, and the rest of the evening we were both just full of smiles.

Bride & Prejudice | Express some memorable experiences you had during the planning

I would say going to try in dresses with my mom and sister. Also going with Jurie to go try on his clothes for the day, I must say that was a lot less effort than trying on my dress.

My Fair Wedding | Describe an event that you feel was unique

Usually when you go to weddings and tables go to get their dinner, the MC has to go up and call out which tables must go, what we did instead of numbering the tables was give them all the name of a band or artist and the tables had to listen for songs performed by the artist to go get dinner, it was interesting to see the reaction to some of the songs that we had picked for this, all classics or cheesy songs from when we had all been in High School.

On the day of our wedding, Jurie put on his suit pants only to find that they were too short for him, between him, his sister and his mom, the manage to put a new hem in the pants and iron them with his sisters Hair Straightener, he only told me the following day on our way to Mozambique what had happened.
