Paris and romance are just like chocolate and strawberries, they are meant to go together. Today's newly engaged couple Lucy and George love the architecture and feel of Paris, so when they were heading their to research wedding venues, they decided it would be the perfect opportunity to have a sweet Paris engagement session with photographer Rebecca Douglas.

I love the sweet romance that Rebecca has captured and feel like I am exploring the city, with the trio.

So how did Lucy and George find the talented Rebecca Douglas? Lucy: " I spent quite a bit of time looking through blogs and other people's photos, which then led us to the photographers websites. I finally came across Rebecca's and fell in love with all of her shots. Theres a softness and intimacy to her photos that I thought reflected us as a couple really well. Her communication throughout the whole process was wonderful and she made us feel really comfortable throughout the whole shoot.

Initially we wanted to shoot all the beautiful landmarks of Paris but after arriving at the Eiffel Tower and seeing the amount of people there, we realised this was going to be difficult. We also chose one of the hottest days on record to do our shoot, 37 degrees! The shots of us in front of us was taken at Trocadero. You can't tell from the photos but there was hundreds of people around us. Thanks to Rebecca's keen eye she was able to make it look like we were the only ones there. My favourite location of the shoot was the Rodin museum garden. It was like an oasis inside busy Paris and a great place to get away from the glaring sun. Our outfits - we wanted something not too formal but also reflected the Parisienne feel so decided to wear something white and blue. My beautiful skirt is by an Australian designer, Nicholas. My best friend helped me chose it so i knew it would be perfect, she has great taste. During our Paris visit we stayed at a place called St Dominique Hotel near the Eiffel Tower. It's a beautiful hotel and the location is fantastic. I also loved the Nespresso machine they have in the rooms, perfect morning pick me up!

For our trip to France we spent more time in the countryside, driving around and enjoying the produce. We stayed at a beautiful B&B in Limoges and got to know the lovely couple that ran the place. We don't speak a lick of French, but still managed everywhere we went thanks to the lovely people we encountered along the way."
