WWW readers Mae and Alec are one super cool couple. I just adore their 1920s feel, quirky gold London city wedding.

Mae and Alec tied the knot on the 13th September 2013 at Islington Town Hall followed by a pub reception at the Prince Albert. They wanted their wedding to include the things they love; cameras, viewmasters, board games and swans.

Mae had 2 wedding dresses, a custom made dress with the sweetest jewellery and a 1920s vintage dress for the evening. Alec went for a black suit with gold tie and personalised braces. Oh so stylish.

The brilliant Alexa Loy was the perfect choice for capturing their day, thank you so much to Alexa for sharing her photographs with us here today.

We had a Routemaster bus to take everyone from the hall to the pub, with champagne (brought from France by Alec's mum) served on board, tickets with our names on etc.

The bouquet was made by my mum and dad, from brooches found in my room at home, donated by other family members, etc. I didn't see it until the night before the wedding but I absolutely loved it.

The flowers were from our local flower shop on Stroud Green road.

We had a few swan details: swan cake toppers and sign holders from BHLDN online.

We had a table downstairs with an instant camera and guest book, for guests to take photos and write messages. There was one of our favourite board games, coppit, which the kids played for hours with our friend Nanae, who came all the way from Tokyo!
