From brushes of all kinds to wands to fingers, there are many different techniques when it comes to applying and blending makeup. While brushes are often best, sometimes we don't have enough time to use them or can't quite invest in a full set. Here are some great tips on how to get flawless makeup with your fingertips.

Clean Hands, Clean Face. Make sure your hands are clean before you start applying anything on your face. This starts with skin care! Whether you use facial oils, moisturizer, or serums make sure your hands and fingers are clean by using a hand soap that won't dry out your skin, like . The last thing you want to do is spread germs to your face and cause nasty breakouts.

Pay Attention to Texture. When you use your fingers to apply makeup, it is important to pay attention to texture. Cream blushes like and eye shadows are very easy to blend with your fingers, whereas powder should not be applied with fingers at all. Foundation can be blended with fingers, but the key is to start small and build. You don't want to use your fingers to apply thicker, fuller coverage foundations. Instead focus on using fingers to apply tinted moisturizers, BB and CC creams.

One Step at a Time. Choose which area of the face you want to work on first, and then wash your hands in between applications. For instance, if you're going to apply foundation first, make sure you wash the excess makeup off your hands before moving to eyes and cheeks. Not washing your hands can leave streaks on your face, and nobody wants that!

After You Sanitize, Moisturize. All that washing and sanitizing can leave your hands dry, so make sure to slather on a great hand cream, like after you are done. This will help with any dry patches on the skin and also leave your hands super soft for the next morning, when you start the process all over again.
