Charcoal & Mustard Inspiration for Twobirds Bridesmaid

Charcoal & Mustard Inspiration for Twobirds Bridesmaid

Morning lovelies! A gorgeous bit of inspiration to round off this week on b.loved, with my next Twobirds inspiration board.  Make sure to keep an eye on the Twobirds blog to catch my monthly boards first!

This month, Michelle asked me to create something different for a winter wedding.  We picked the sophisticated Charcoal as our key colour, and I picked a rich mustard as an accent.   I do love a good yellow & grey wedding palette, and just because its grey and cold outside, doesn’t mean you can’t add a pop of colour to your wedding celebrations.  In fact, it might just be the perfect way to warm up an otherwise monochrome palette.  Yellow and grey is one the freshest colour combinations for a summer wedding, but tone down the palette just a touch and you end up with a rich, muted combination of charcoal and mustard perfect for a fun and interesting winter wedding.

Think warm and cosy with cute yellow cardigans for your ‘maids and a luxurious grey stole for you.  Keep stationery contemporary with bold fonts and modern monograms.  Hang colourful lanterns and add votives and candles to your tables for a wonderfully warm glow.  Make the most of winter flowers, velvety white leaves and silvery berries paired with rusty gold dahlias and roses displayed in gold goblets and urns for a touch of luxe.
